NSWCF Foundational Programmes

The National Social Work Competency Framework (NSWCF), which is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), aims to provide a clear articulation of social work roles across the profession with the corresponding knowledge and skills required for effective delivery of interventions, in areas of casework, group work or community work.

NSWCF is a unifying framework which emphasises common domains and competencies across social work settings, including community and healthcare. It is aimed at equipping social workers to be future-ready to take on larger roles in changing and more complex social landscape.

Jointly developed with MSF and MOH, the programmes within this brochure are designed and developed based on the NSWCF, whereby social workers can embark on to develop domain expertise and deepen skills, enlarge their roles and influence practice.
