Communities of Practice

The CoP initiative aims to deepen sector capabilities by providing an alternative platform of learning for social service professionals. Made up of a community of like-minded individuals with a common passion, interest and knowledge in specific domains, members meet regularly to explore cutting-edge solutions, solve common work issues, share best practices and ideas and co-create new knowledge.

Since 2013, our CoP members have successfully developed resources such as:
  • Person-Centred Approach Toolkit
  • Sample Conflict of Interest Policy and Operating Procedures
  • Service Excellence Checklist
  • Mental Health Resource Kit
SSI strongly believes that CoPs will help in sharpening skills, sharing great ideas and developing useful resources to benefit the sector as a whole.

Learn more about the current CoPs below.

As of November 2018, the CoP initiative is under review, and the formation of new physical CoPs is temporarily suspended. Details of the review will be shared when they became available.

Existing CoPs and/or members interested to form a new CoP without assistance from SSI, can continue as usual.
